As Nyriad Inc. prepares for the launch of its first product, the company announced this week a series of leadership shifts, effective March 1, 2022. Derek Dicker, currently an independent Nyriad Board Member, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Current CEO and Board Member, Herb Hunt, will become Executive Chair of the Board. Current Board Chair and Lead Investor, Guy Haddleton, will remain on the Board to represent the company’s New Zealand investors.
Herb Hunt joined Nyriad as CEO in October 2020 as the company completed a funding round from existing shareholders. Under Herb’s leadership, the company migrated to the USA, strengthened its leadership, and developed its first product.
Derek Dicker is a technology executive with more than 25 years of industry experience leading organizations that span pre-revenue “intrapreneurial” start-ups to multi-billion-dollar businesses. Most recently, Derek served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Storage Business Unit at Micron where he was responsible for building world-class storage products based on Micron’s nonvolatile memory technology. Prior to Micron, he served in management and executive level roles at Intel, Integrated Device Technology, and PMC-Sierra (acquired by Microsemi Corporation).
